What do I get for the Student Health Fee?

As of Jan 2007, Bryan College contracted Sports Care Chattanooga PLLC to provide a student health service to the Bryan student body. Below is a list of the service we provide for the student health fee:

Free Services: (“Nurse” only level services, Insurance to be notified of free service**)

• Simple Cough and Colds Questions (no Antibx)
• Simple illness follow-up visits (no new or modified meds or treatments)
• Blood pressure checks
• Allergy shots
• Immunizations injection fee (pt pays cost of vaccine)
• Weight Checks
• Glucose only checks – without office visit
• Med refills– without office visit
• Basic first aid (ie band aids, etc)
• Uncomplicated suture removal
• Simple in-clinic questions / counsellings (approximately 1 – 3 minutes)
• Physician / Test Referral & Scheduling service
• In house billing service
• Educational Programs / Handouts
• Record Retrieval & Forwarding (medical record generated while at Bryan)

Students Office visits: (Provider level service)

• NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES for an office visits, Co-pay is charged to Bryan Student Health Fee Fund (SHeFF),* and participating Insurance are billed.
• Any other uncompensated fees / charges etc will be taken from the SHeFF up to $100 per visit
• Changes greater than the $100 (per visit) limit and NOT covered by insurance maybe charged to the student...

• No Turn Away Policy... No Bryan student will ever be turned away because of lack of money or insurance issues... If we are unable to provide appropriate care we will refer to someone who can.**

* If allowed by patient's (and PolyClinics.Net, PLLC's) insurance contracts, obligations, & requirements

** After initial and/or emergency treatment, we reserve the right to Completely Discharge a patients for cause (unruliness, threating behavior, drug seeking, non-compliances, etc..) via written notification as allowed by State & Federal Law.
